It all began in December 1947, with a hand-crafted doll. Now, the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program collection and distribution sites have become an important and familiar element of the Christmas Holiday landscape.

The United Way Holiday Project will kick off its Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive on October 1.  This program is designed to help parents or guardians of our most precious resource, children, create long lasting memories in order to have a magical holiday season.

All new, unwrapped toys collected in Martin County, are distributed through the United Way Holiday Project to economically disadvantaged families. As in past years, our success relies on our local schools and nonprofit agencies to refer families that are struggling to provide toys for their children.

In order to serve more families, just like Santa, we check our list with other local non profits to avoid duplication of services.

Referral forms will be available at all schools and select nonprofit agencies on October 1. Request for toys should be made directly through your child's guidance counselor or service agency.

The deadline for all referrals is November 19.

We wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season!

United Way of Martin County is the official Local Community Organization (LCO) for the Toys for Tots campaign in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
